“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” – Roger Caras

I treat each case individually, gathering as much information and history as possible through a detailed client questionnaire if required. Initial consultations can last up to two hours and also involves direct observation. This is followed up by the production of full written report (upon request) containing diagnosis, detailed explanation as to why the behaviour may have occurred, and a detailed behaviour modification treatment plan which is agreed by the owner with practical support also provided.

I also offer practical sessions which is centred around promoting early education for children and young people on how to interact safely around dogs. Being able to understand the behaviour and body language of the dog can go, in some way, in the prevention of dog bites that occur involving children.

I only use positive reward-based methods when modifying behaviour, positive reinforcement is one of the most powerful tools for shaping or changing behaviour, by using something your dog loves as a reward makes the dog more likely to repeat the desired behaviour.
